Hi! My name is Brevin Banks. I am a Medical Device and Robotics Engineer with a background in the Design of Control Systems, Computer Vision, Mechanical/Mechatronic Design, and Design Controls. My career has been in Medical Device product development and R&D.
I love all things engineering, especially when I am working on projects that can be used in the medical industry to save lives and assist clinicians. I also love making things that are useful - especially if they move with the power of controls and actuation.
I completed an M.S. in Computer Science of Robotics with an emphasis in Medical Robotics from Johns Hopkins University in May of 2024, and I recieved a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 2022.
My Master's project was on the implimentation of an innovative control system for surgical hand over hand guidance robots.
In industry I've worked with several medical device companies. I currently work with Laborie making amazing products used in Labor and Delivery and the NICU. Super fulfilling.
I enjoy working with my 3D printer and laser cutter, listening to music, running and weight lifting, and playing the occasional video game. On the side I like to make program and develop simple video games.
